“I have been a patient of Dr. Scarlet for over ten years and she has always impressed me on the way she keeps up with the latest product for hearing aids. She is not only very knowledgable about what is going on in her industry but she is an example of one who malama, cares very much for her patients”
Scarlet’s been consistently terrific and fantastic. This assessment is based on her being my audiologist for more than a decade. Through the years, Scarlet’s exhibited a high level of knowledge in her field, professionalism, competence, and caring. Her state-of-the-art equipment makes for very precise and prompt assessment of one’s hearing. She always takes the time to explain test results so patients come to truly understand what’s trending in their hearing.
Scarlet is current with latest developments in hearing technology. She’s well acquainted with positives and shortcomings of various hearing aid types. Because she discusses these things along with consideration of a patient’s lifestyle, particular needs, and a patient’s ability to deal with various hearing aid technologies, established is a very good patient-doctor working partnership.
Along with technical and medical considerations in the choosing of hearing aids, Scarlet also is very clear on costs, coverage, life of particular hearing aids, etc. And she helps with whatever paperwork needs to be done.
Post-purchase of hearing aids, Scarlet helps patients keep track of things like insurance coverage, timing for speaker replacements, etc. She’s always available and prompt about “troubleshooting” malfunctioning hearing aids; she’ll always recalibrate hearing aids to suit changing patient needs.
Scarlet is most personable and easy to chat with. She’s very human in her approach and never forgets she’s dealing with patients who are somewhat fearful, upset, and perplexed by what’s going on with their hearing. As honestly as possible, she’s reassuring and her “Can Do” attitude goes a long way in reassuring patients that there’s somebody and some technology on their side.
There are many audiologists in town; there are many places where one might get hearing aids. What puts Scarlet on top is that she takes the time to educate, inform, work with, and always be there for the patient. She services hearing aids promptly because she realizes that we who wear them are forced into a very frustrating world without them.
Scarlet is the best. Thank goodness she’s my audiologist, and I most highly recommend her to anyone in need of hearing assessment and/or hearing aids.

INTRODUCING THE “HEARING IMPAIRED” ALERT PIN
Hearing loss is an invisible disability. You can't see it. There are 360 million persons in the world with disabling hearing loss.
I've created a "Hearing Impaired" alert pin - people can wear this pin to notify others that they struggle with hearing loss.
The goal of wearing this pin would be to encourage more effective communication strategies when talking to a person with hearing loss and also as a visible sign of hearing loss. This is important especially in emergency situations.
